Waste Stream: Workplace recyclables

  • FCJ industrial-property plastics recycling network

FCJ reports an islandwide partnership with Recycling Partners of Jamaica that diverts plastic from FCJ sites and says it aims to equip all properties with modern waste-management facilities by 2030. Confirm the participating industrial estates, whether tenants or nearby businesses may use collection points, accepted plastics, collection frequency and measured volumes.

  • LASCO Red Hills Road workplace recycling station

LASCO Financial’s 2025 report identifies a designated recycling station at Red Hills Road operated with sister companies in support of Recycling Partners of Jamaica. The report does not state that the public may use it or list every accepted material. Confirm access, exact accepted streams, hours, RPJ collection schedule and whether LASCO manufacturing and distribution waste is consolidated there.

  • Wisynco producer-funded packaging recovery partnership

Wisynco documents its producer-funded deposit and recovery partnership with RPJ, which accepts PET and HDPE bottles regardless of manufacturer, and its 2025 report records continued national collection expansion. Use RPJ location records for public directions rather than sending users to the factory. Confirm any separate industrial packaging, shrink-wrap, pallet or production-scrap routes at Wisynco facilities.

  • Green Business Jamaica waste-management support programme

NEPA’s current voluntary Green Business Jamaica programme assesses organisations across waste management, water efficiency, chemical management, energy and environmental awareness and publishes certified participants. It is an advisory and certification route, not a collection service. Zero Waste Loop should track participating organisations as prospective generators and partners and confirm the application and reassessment process.

  • MEGJC EcoChampions office recycling pilot

The Ministry launched the EcoChampions waste-separation pilot at its Half Way Tree Road office as a model for government entities. This is an internal workplace programme and does not establish public access. Confirm whether it remains active, accepted plastics, RPJ schedule, participation data and whether the model has expanded to other named offices.
